Q: What kind of fences do you build?

A: We build a variety of different fences and can custom build whatever you require. Our most popular fence is wood (usually cedar) with galvanized metal steel posts set 30″-36″ deep in concrete, approximately 6 feet apart, with pickets that are 6’ or 8’ tall, flat top and dog ear style, board-on-board or side-by-side, with standard or custom gates, and a 1″ x 4″ trim on the top face of the fence to provide a finished top. Also available is a 2″ x 6″ or 2″ x 8″ top cap board on the very top of the fence and a 2″ x 6″ pressure treated kick board set directly on the ground that trims off the bottom edge of the fence and provides protection. Our fences come pre-stained/pre-dipped.

Q: What is the advantage of using pre-dipped or pre-stained wood for my fence, as opposed to

staining the fence after it is built?

A: One of the main advantages is total wood coverage, which extends the life of your fence. The bottoms of the pickets are sealed and won’t allow water to penetrate. Also the back of rails, underside of caps, and board on board fences are totally sealed. Another advantage is convenience and time savings. You won’t have to schedule the stain treatment on another day after the installation, and there is no worry about delays due to the wind or rain. Also, you do not have to worry about over spray getting on your plants, your grass, in your pool, on your windows, garage door, your car or your neighbor’s car. You also don’t have to deal with making sure the metal posts are cleaned properly afterwards. Another advantage is the peace of mind knowing that you are not contributing unnecessarily to the pollution of the soil and air.

Q: Do you build other things besides just fences?

A: Yes! We have many years of experience building Arbors, Patio Covers, Automatic Gates, Trellis’s, Decks, Retaining Walls, as well as Fences.

Q: How do your prices compare?

A: Texas Best Fence has very competitive pricing. You not only get the best quality of workmanship and materials on your outdoor project, but you also will get the best value.
